Terms of Service

By creating an account or using CineSeek, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. The service
CineSeek is a personalized film and television discovery app. It provides recommendations, a release calendar, episode tracking and a community feed. It is an independent project, offered free of charge and provided as-is.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account.
- One person, one account. Do not impersonate another person or organisation.
- Provide an email address you actually control — it is the only way to recover your account.
3. Content you post
You keep ownership of what you write. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to store and display that content inside the app so other users can see it. You can delete your posts at any time; deleting your account removes them all.
4. Rules of conduct
Do not post or do any of the following:
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, or targeting individuals or groups
- Sexually explicit material, gratuitous violence, or content harmful to minors
- Spam, scams, mass unsolicited messaging, or artificially inflating likes or views
- Impersonating another person, or claiming an affiliation you do not have
- Unmarked spoilers for recent releases — mark them clearly or use the spoiler report reason
- Anything illegal where you live, or that infringes someone else's rights
- Scraping, reverse-engineering, or automated abuse of the app or its backend
5. Moderation
Reporting. Every post has a report action. Reports go to a moderation queue and the content is hidden from you immediately.
Blocking. You can block any account. Blocked accounts disappear from your feed, and they are not told that you blocked them.
We review reported content and may remove it, or suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly break these rules. We aim to act on reports within 24 hours. We may remove content without prior notice where it is clearly harmful.
6. Film and television data
Titles, posters, cast information, ratings and release dates come from The Movie Database (TMDB). We do not control that data and cannot guarantee it is accurate or complete. News headlines are linked from third-party publishers; we do not host or endorse their articles.
CineSeek does not host, stream or link to pirated content. Streaming availability shown in the app is informational only.
7. Availability and changes
The service runs on free infrastructure tiers and may be unavailable, slow, or discontinued. Features may change or be removed. We will give notice in the app where a change materially affects you.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings ▸ Other ▸ Delete account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that create legal risk.
9. Disclaimer and liability
CineSeek is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost data, or losses arising from your use of the app or from third-party content shown in it.
